Avery: 14'er ESB

Name: Avery: 14'er ESB
Brewed In/Type: Boulder, CO / Extra Special Bitter Ale
Bought at/Price Binny's / $8.99 6pack
Dennis: This bitter starts out with a really strong hop aroma (for a typical ESB that is) that almost reminds you of an IPA. The body comes across thicker than you'd think but still easy to drink, and the majority of the swallow is tied up in the bitterness of it (not to high of IBU though). Over all, not the most amazing beer, but definatly what could be considered as an "old standby". Easy to drink, hoppy enough to please, and hard to turn down.
Jen: This may not be Avery's best brew, but it is a well crafted ale. It starts off with a nice citrusy hop flavor that reminds me of grapefruits. I also get a mild piney taste to it. The body of this is balanced with the taste of mild malts and ends with a nice crispness. Overall, this is easily drank and goes down quite smoothly.
Rating: 3.75 out of 5
