I had so many friends in rehab...
With only 13 days to go until the wedding we're really both kinda shocked with the number of unreplied invitations.
Now understand, these are people we knew wouldn't be able to make it because of need of travel. We aren't screwed up in terms of seating or anything like that because of it. But there are two reasons it's offending:
1. It's just rude.
2. Do you know how much those fucking stamps cost? What the fuck to you think that I'm make of money? Seriously its not that hard, just open the letter, realize you can't/don't want to come and check the little box that says "can't attend". Then put it back in the freaking tiny little envelope conveniently enclosed with return postage already on it and drop it in the mail. If this was a competition you could probably do it all in less than 5 seconds.
The current theory is that people feel if they respond they will feel they have to buy something from our registry. And I guess I can see that, I mean most of these people have probably never even met me, and wouldn't care less if I dropped dead tomorrow. But dammit, we put a lot of effort into those damn things...at least return it so I know it wasn't totally wasted. It's just rude.

So I'm using IE beta 3 right now, and I was just thinking about how nice it would be if you could click and drag a tabbed brower window out onto the desktop and make it its own window. Instead of doing a cntrl+n and then copy and pasting the link. Would be very useful for those of us who use multiple monitor setups.
Also, wtf is up with it breaking google spell checker (in the google toolbar)? I had to remove and reinstall the toolbar to get it working right again. Simple fix...but kinda just one more damn thing I don't need to do.

So yesterday was pretty busy for me, but when I got home there was this horrible noise randomly popping up in the house. At first I thought it sounded like an uneven load in the washing machine or something, but after tracking it down it turned out to be the blower fan in the furnace. So I ripped the blower assembly out of the furnace and hauled it upstairs into the garage to clean it. It was totally covered in this nasty greasy dirt from the years of the previous owners and their smoking. Nasty stuff that wouldn't even come off with normal soap and water. So I disassembled it just like the steps in that link pretty much. The only problem was that I couldn't find the oil spot to put any in it. So I ended up popping the cap off and adding oil there...now I didn't think WD40 would work...to think, and lithium grease is two thick....so that left motor oil from Jen's truck. :)
So far so good, been about 24 hours w/ it running and so far no bad sounds, smoke or anything else negative. We'll see what happens. Odds are that the bearings took some damage...but I'm curious to see how long it will last honestly...

sorry to hear that man! =(
Happy wedding and nice fix for the blower. When my AC was acting up it turned out to be low freon which was causing the coils to freeze up (or something like that). it was annoying

I'm probably just pitching a little hissy fit about it.....

Hi Dennis, I'm one of those 'late invitation responders'...I did mail it back (though very late) and apologized! But I'll say it again. I'm sorry for the delay.

Take my rant with a grain of salt. :)
And besides, I remember your invite so we've had it for a while now.
Late isn't so bad, it's people who don't even respond. Although there is one person who responded without putting their name on it.....yeah....so on the bright side at least we know stupid people aren't coming :P
