You know, I guess I should feel lucky that I got a bonus and all...but it's hard to be happy when they take more than 40% fucking percent of it for taxes.

Our income / capitol gain and social security taxes are completely rediculous and out of line. They even wanted to take away the child tax credit this year, but decided not to because the economy is already so weak... Milk away folks..the middle class fountain will never run dry...right?

Well I already max out my IRA contributions, and put as much into my 401k as my employer matches pretty much. The rest is in mutual funds and money market accounts.
Still just chaps my freaking hide...here's a huge bonus for the good work you've done....oh by the way 40% of it belongs to george fucking w bush and his 400 dollar ashtrays.
Meanwhile they're throwing MRE's at katrina refugess like they're beads at mardi gras.

And if the bonus is big enough, they will use the AMT on you. Then you can really feel the joy of "lower taxes" that will "grow the economy".

oops..btw the above comment was me... but I also wanted to add... I"m really starting to think about figuring out how much of a peasant I can live like and just put like 40% of my paycheck into a 401k pretax american funds world growth fund which has liquidation taxes -50% of regular capitol gains just so the bastards get a lot less of my money.
