What is irony

Irony as defined by me, is being a DSL engineer, and having your DSL go down. Just got back online today. Crapped out about 9:45am Friday. Couldn't even get a single frequency channel to sync (32kb). Of course everybody said it was either IW, or NID Splitter, or the Modem. Turn out, after working on it this morning with the Telco guy who came out, somebody swapped my pair from the SAC to the pedestal with a loaded pair. Yup, somebody took a functioning DSL line, and move it onto a pair with load coils. Oh well, at least we're back online. thank god....

How was your experience with SBC support?

Are you crazy? I didn't call them. I tapped the SBC Direct guys on dslreports.com.

The tech that did come out though was super nice, and really did a lot of work to get my line back to functioning.
