Christmas card etiquette

Let's take a second here to talk about Christmas card etiquette. Now, I'm not going to split hairs about whether you should include religious meanings or not. Hell I even don't care if you send pictures of your entired family dressed up as reindeers that you took at sears. There is simply just one rule; If somebody sends you a card, you send one back. That's it, very simple. If we send one, then you send one next year. See people there's a 2 year lag here....you get the 2nd year to turn around and return the favor. Not doing so is the holiday equivelant of Santa flipping you off. We sent out 20 cards this year....we got 5. And one of them was from the food bank we volunteer at. WTF is this crap? Do you know what 20 cards are worth? Pack of 20 cards (fancy ones, not generic) = $14 bucks
20 stamps = .37x20 = $7.40
Time = 1 hour = $7.25 (based off minimum wage) That's $28.65 dammit, and for what, the crushing rejection I used to only associate with Valentines day growing up? Why that money could have gone to better uses such as:
2 1/2 packs of Golden Monkey
4 delicious meals at Quizno's (mmmm...toasty)
Almost half of the price for a G1 Megatron...seriously how cool would that be. Bah humbug! *Note this rant does not pertain to my sister, Jen's family or you Tim...you already told us you weren't gonna send a card because you guys suck...and we're ok with that :) On the bright side, I leave you with this funny comic, even though you probably don't deserve it:
