Dane Cook is an ass kisser
Literally...
It's funny, he was on Letterman this week to pimp his new movie "waiting". Which is cool and all...but he was on fire on the couch, just dishing out a top shelf comedy game...and then they go to the film clip and it was just lame.
Moving on...since I only have a few minutes today to update my all important website. Here's an article about hurricane Rita that pretty much hit's home on the central point in my opinion. Here's a quote from it. The failure in New Orleans was a failure of character. Corrupt people electing corrupt politicians who gave millions in tax dollars to corrupt cronies to either mis-construct vital levees or to spend the money on entirely useless pork projects. Then, when disaster struck, these same people—living a Faustian deal of votes for tax-funded handouts— were utterly lost when those corrupt government officials headed for high ground without them. Throwing 60 billion dollars (or whatever number it's up to) at the problem isn't going to solve anything. And the news coverage is already at 14:59 of it's 15 minutes of fame. Soon everyone will forget about it, and wander on with their merry little lives feeling like they did so much good. When in reality, nothing has been accomplished yet at all except some very larege companies, swooping in an lining up at the all you can eat government money buffet. The same people who completely mismanaged and fucked this all up in the beginning are still the same people in charge down there. And while most of the contracts were awarded to out of state companies, this doesn't stop the flow of money from passing through some of the most inept and corrupt hands. It's what is commonly termed a "pork barrel project". We are basically rewarding people who:
1. Couldn't do their jobs correctly, or with any degree of competency
2. Lost the least, or nothing at all
3. Have supported and enabled a corrupt local government
4. Tried to cast blame on the Federal Government, for states affairs. Honestly, it's moronic. They're already allowing people back in, but the leeve's have been fully repaired, or upgraded to repel a similar event. Honestly, it's the stupidest thing I think I've seen almost ever. - Here is the second stupidest thing I've seen ever than. Exhaust tip spinners. I mean honestly...they are kinda cool, but the people that embrace them are probably going to be stupid...so I have to distance myself now...ya know, cause i'm so cool and stuff.
