irony defined - telemarketing post
I actually do a lot of little things to drive traffic to my site, and our beer review website. Meta tags, posting on other boards w/ links and even email signatures. All kind of a narcissistic stupid little things to justify myself to the world :)
That's why I find it deliciously ironic that the single most traffic driving thing I've posted about lately was a telemarketer call from some bank one rep.
If you do a google search for the phone number 858-9823, I'm the #1 result. Almost every search done on my database lately has been that phone # (since google doesn't take you the individual post, just the main index), and a keyword analysis of my site shows it's what most people who come here are looking for. not witty comments, not links or pictures of my cats... Well, might as well give them what they want: (616) 447-2970 is the number for a "charity" called the Dove Foundation, the best part is they left a voice mail saing how this is "not a sales call". They only do that crap because their charity status makes them exempt from following that national no-call registry. There's a whole thread about it here. And for the other two people who read this, here's some links: - Can computer parts be evil? Yes....oh yes indeed. Truly evil pc2700 512mb DDR Ram for sale on ebay.
- Get fit the poodle way. Strange...very strange.
- Disgruntled tattoo artist inks his revenge, and the follow up Asian Tattoo artist inks revenge behind bars. Great parody writing here folks.
