Happy B-day to me!

Got an early birthday gift today! Thanks Jen :) xoxoxox

No I've got insticts of my own

There are a lot of foods I don't like really. Green beans, lamb, chicken kieve, but there is a reason I don't like Yams:

For what it's worth my sister did a great job on everything else, mashed potatoes and turkey were great! I stuffed myself on them, damn near fell asleep from all the turkey driving home. Also got the bike's battery back in and took it down the street a little. Freakin' cold out when your doing 50mph in 45 degree weather.
Got my first gift today for my birthday. A 50 dollar gift certificate to sharper image from my nephew who's in town visiting. That's pretty cool, but now i have to figure out what the hell to get him.... That Dell I'm working on came out really well. It's all done pretty much and a day ahead of time! Yay me! Now it you'll excuse me i'm going to go sit around in the dark because there is no TV on now and i've beat all my games. Do you get the gist of the song now?

Nothing like fixing somebody's computer eh? Picked up a 160 Gb hard drive today for a comp i'm fixing, slapped it in a Dell Dimension 8100, upgraded the bios, and am currently formatting from the dvd rom into NTFS. Pretty standard stuff really. Here's hoping the rest goes as easy.
Jen's due back friday. Thank god, because i've eaten just about everything left in the house execpt the baking soda and (most of) the cat food.
Especially after being on the phone for 8 hours because of some damn outage in reno (turns out the OC3 card was bad, but only after i replaced the FE3, CE3, power supplies, fast ethernet, and backplane). Not to mention the port 135 ACL wasn't even in it. :( I"m hungry....haven't eaten....juliet look's quite plump today }:-)~ - 10 signs she's a beeyotch. Could have used this a few times in life.

GRITS!!!!!!

I cannot express in words exactly how much I didn't want to get up this morning.
I think I got some kind of food poisoning last night, I was up all night with an upset stomache (and other assorted delights which I will spare you from hearing about) and the last thing I honestly wanted to do was drag my sorry ass into the food bank. I feel way to guilty calling in sick though, see this time of year is when everybody get's the "guilties" as I like to call them and comes in. Good news for the food bank, but it's hard to keep 100 people busy for 3 hours straight believe it or not. Today I worked in the processing room. Not really my favorite because I don't get to use the hand jacks or electric dolly's (still working on forklift training someday), but it's a lot of hard work. Basically we have donations from food drives, jewel-osco, and even trader joe's (which would have killed jen i'm sure, since we shop there....it's kind of a smaller organic type store). I was in charge of the presort for the processing room. Basically you take bananna boxes of donated stuff off the skid's and load them on the roller conveyor. But you have to remove the following:
- water bottles
- cleaning supplies
- dry cereal/oatmeal
- paper products (aluminum wrap, paper plates, chick stuff, etc)
- all candy Lot's of lifting, and it's hard to keep up with a room of 12 people chugging through the stuff. Oh well, i'm sure next month will be even busier.

i begin to wonder

So how much $4.95 pizza can dennis eat? About 3 slices....blah! Seriously, I didn't know Dominck's sold pizza till I stopped by to pickup some Rice-a-roni (had a taste for the stuff lately) and saw a 16" pizza (sausage) for 4.95. I figured how could I go wrong, hell I pay 14.01 for Domino's. Even if I only eat 1/3rd of the pizza I'm still breaking even.
Damn, i'm full......so full I feel like this snowman...
Have I mentioned how much I fucking hate this time of year lately? If I haven't, then consider this the offical "dennis hate's this time of year" post. Perhaps if I had kid's or something along the line of remaining family members. Sometimes you just don't realize the effect somebody had on the dynamic until they are gone. And then your fuckered......yes, I used the word fuckered. - Speaking of fuckered, wanna see the paris hilton video? There, now you know how fucked I feel.
- How big are your Nutz? Make sure you check out their photo section. It's mind blowing.
- Need some stress relief? Get a hooker. Looking to waste some time, virtual bubblewrap. It really is strangly addictive. oh yeah, watched Kate and Leopold...oddly endearing.

Here we have a picture of Jen's cat Mischief who's back in Maine. The real interesting thing is that she's like 18/19 years old and still refuses to leave me alone when I'm trying to eat. :)

Storm off into the bathroom

So I got my new glasses friday, they're pretty cool but I'm still getting used to them.
Also me and Jen rented Futurama for the PS2. As fans of the cartoon, it's a great game (if for no other reason than collecting the 'nibblers'), but damn it's hard. Then again maybe playing it after drinking a lot isn't advisable. :) - Man mistakes screaming person embedded in windshield for duffle bag. God I hate it when that happens to me.....

abandon all hope, ye who blog

Ok, so where the hell have I been? Well me and Jen just drove back from Maine last night. Yes, I said drove. How can two people travel 1200 mile's in a 2 seater car? Here's how:

Little bit of a tight fit, but we made it there in about 20 hour's, only filling up twice, and paying $134.00 roundtrip (including the gas and toll's......did you know they pretty much have toll's everywhere? It's crazy).
One pretty cool thing was the webcam, it was really nice being able to see the cat's while we were in Maine. We were able to watch them laying around and licking themselves in real time....... The cost of living is so low in Maine, and New Hampshire doesn't have any sales tax at all. So while we were up around there we did a little shopping :)
I have to admit I got away with the lion's share of the loot, plus a few early birthday presents from Jen :) We stopped by the L.L. Bean factory store, and the New Balance Factory outlet. Not to mention the Game Stop where I picked up Legend of Goku 2 (the first one sucked). Of course this doesn't include the great laptop case Jen's mom bought for me out of the blue. I guess it's because I was to steal her's last time I was there :) j/k Another nice aspect of going away is coming back home to presents :) Got some 5861 Power Supplies from Amperor!
Now I can repair and replace power supplies in 5861's! How cool is that? Ok, well gotta get going to pickup a package, and go get my new glasses from the Eye doc. But before I go, here are some links to make up for my being lazy: - Meet lucy, a new form of AI.
- Oil Change scam, well no shit sherlock. I could have told you this.
- Take the 80's Lyric Quiz. Since 80's seem to be all the rage now a days. Maybe High top's will make a come back.

Holy crap....subliminal programming

Holy. crap. If you know me personally at all, this following link will explain so much about me it's not funny.
My best guess is that this commercial hit me during a real "open to suggestion" time in my life.
The reason? I don't eat salad dressing....none at all, the stuff makes me gag. I only recently started eating butter, can't stand mayo, ketshup or mustard either. In all reality I'm a pain in the ass to cook for I'm sure (luv you honey :P) Update: I like A1 sauce, thanks to jen for pointing that out. Just watch this commercial I found on this site:
Real Video format (*.ram) Oh, and I've been using the Google toolbar for a little while now, kinda cool. I like the pagerank, popup blocker, and search site features. Very cool.

The test

A man is dating three women and wants to decide which to marry. He decides to give them a test. He gives each woman a present of $5000 and watches to see what she does with the money.
The first does a total make-over. She goes to a fancy beauty salon, gets her hair done, new make up and buys several new outfits and dresses up very nicely for the man. She tells him that she has done this to be more attractive for him because she loves him so much.
The man was impressed.
The second goes shopping to buy the man gifts. She gets him a new set of golf clubs, some new gizmos for his computer, and some expensive clothes. As she presents these gifts, she tells him that she has spent all the money on him because she loves him so much.
Again, the man is impressed.
The third invests the money in the stock market. She earns several times the $5000. She gives him back his $5000 and reinvests the remainder in a joint account. She tells him that she wants to save for their future because she loves him so much.
Obviously, the man was impressed.
The man thought for a long time about what each woman had done with the money, and then he married the one with the largest breasts.

to many carrot's

I feel like somebody just ripped out my spine and started beating me with it. We did about 3000 boxes today at the Food Bank for the Thanksgiving Holiday meal project. That's 3k boxes with 2 cans of corn, 1 cranberry jelly, 2 cans of Green beans, 2 Stovetop stuffing, 6 hot cocoa, 1 chocolate desert, 1 cake mix, 2 things of coffee, and somewhere a turkey get's stuffed in there too! Oops, forgot about the 1 box of garlic mashed potatoes. All I want to do is limp my butt to the couch and sit down. btw, what has 4 legs, shed's a lot, and rings up a 300 dollar vet bill? If you said Juliet give yourself a pat on the back.
5 extractions......5 freakin' teeth pulled because they were so rotten they couldn't be saved. If I didn't know better I'd think she was british. Anyways, my main reason to even bother posting today was to share this The Farting Preacher 2: Fart Harder If you don't remember here's the first one, it was like one of the main reasons I made the "fun stuff" area way back when.
