OMG...that webcam sucks so badly

I mean I know i'm kinda pushing its abilities, but damn thats a crappy web cam....:( Anybody want to donate me a new one? I can't really justify spending money on something so frivilous as that. Or I could just resurect my original idea, purchase a USB extension cord and run the cam to the litter box :-P So I watched Sum of all Fears last night, and ya know....I never really realized what a damn good movie it was. I mean yeah its unrealistic and all, but it was a reallly good movie I thought (so did everyone else who watched it). So I was working on a new script for the EN 5861 today, and no matter what I do the stupid thing always creates a new /24 based off the lan ip address, even if I specifically delete it and readd a new /29, once it reboots it will recreate a new one.....god its so infuriating! Threw up a web cam....

So I've had this old Ibm Web cam lying around, so I decided to hook it up to broadcast from my patio window. Outside might not be interesting, but you can see the chicago sky line, and across the street is a firestation. I figured that would be more interesting than watching me play games, or swear at my wireless access point. My next target for the web cam is my cat's litter box, but the cable was to short (lucky for you guys) :)

A surplus of cold water abounds me...

Around 7am I woke up today to the sound of a loud beeping... Turns out that ComEd blew a transformer for my building again, and I had lost power.....or actually in a worse scenario I was having a brown out. Thankfully most of my main comp stuff is on a UPS, but I had to shut it all down to conserve battery power just in case I needed it later.
On a bright note, I was able to build my own null modem cable last night and get inside my 3com WAP to program the MAC addresses of my cards in it so nobody can war drive me or get in my network ;) Gotta go DBZ is on, and there are new episodes! Here's something for you all to watch.

O E O Ah Ah Ting tang walla walla bing bang

Whats the best part of Monday?......... A new StrongBad email. Have you tried to watch TV lately? I mean ok, let's just establish the fact that I am not a big asshole. I know there is a war going on, and that people are dying and suffering. HOWEVER, people die and suffer everyday, thats the human condition. But generally the news shows don't cut into my favorite show every FIVE FUCKING MINUTES for anything else.
I mean I'd love to watch the news community circle jerk themselves all day in excitement over a war. And personally my theory is Tom Brokaw is secretly manipulating Saddam to start this war. I'm telling you, they're loving this crap, it makes ratings shoot thru the roof and keeps them employed.
Then they can run stupid stories about journalists who are killed in the war. Well no shit sherlock, did you think you had magical powers or something? That the Iraq solders would just shoot around you because you work for ITV news? i mean dear god....com'n...you know what this is? It's darwinism at its greatest and most real. I mean, hey, i'm sorry he died and all, and I know it sucks. But If I slather my body with A1 sauce and throw my ass into a tiger pit, I"m not going to be shocked when I get mauled to death (kinda like Steve-o's chicken/alligator thing in JackAss).
Ack! Well gotta go get my cats ready for their vet appointment now.....maybe if I'm lucky i'll be able to watch some tv tonight. Or if I'm really bored I can do what Saddam is doing and go to CNN.com to see exactly whats going on and get all the details.

Now with less dolphin meat...

Well I just watched the last episode of FarScape today (I had recorded it to go out to a movie and dinner with my woman) and all I can say is I'm speechless. I mean really, I just can't fathom what just happened...I guess it's shock. On the bright side i've got some tequiza and an episode of Stargate to watch (the season finale). I saw a commercial for savefarscape.com, but I couldn't get to their site :( *sniff, sniff* Oh and by the way, I finally managed to snag a copy of XenoGears at the GameStop in Stratford Mall on thursday. Haven't played it yet, I'm still on XenoSaga, but I hear the story is great!
Ok, time for Stargate, and then grillin'.

Raiders of the lost Xenogears

I've been playing a great game for the PS2 lately called Xenosaga... So I was interested in playing the first game of the saga called XenoGears.....well I"ll be damned if that thing isn't hard to find.
I wasn't able to find an ISO image online to download, and even on ebay or gamestop the game is still 37 bucks. And when I thought I found it, turned out that the website was wrong and there wasn't one in stock. Guess I should have called first, eh?
If anybody has a copy of this and wants to send it to me, or send me the ISO please drop me a line. And now for the daily cuteness:

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood

Oh my god, could it be any nicer lately? The weather is just great here. I put the battery back in my motorcycle yesterday and me and jen went out to do a little shopping...
You remember my bike, don't ya?

I can't tell ya how nice it is to get it up and working, thankfully the battery made it thru the winter even though I left it in the bike for half of it. I finally took it out and brought it up to charge in my apt when it wouldn't even turn over the starter and thought for sure I fried it. Guess it just needed a little TLC, which is great cause I just replaced it last summer when I killed my old one by leaving my lights on. That was fun....got stranded at Schlotsky's and had to jump the bike from these two women who looked like they thought I was going to rape them any second.....
Speaking of crazy women, you'll never guess what I got in the mail yesterday from Blockbuster? Why it was an extended viewing fee notice for :

7.58 for each of them....here's the only snag in this equation....I never rented them. And I certainly never rented them from the LITH Blockbuster considering I don't live near there. But i know who does..
Nothing quite like having your Ex girlfriend use the blockbuster card you CANCELLED two years ago to rent movies to watch with her boyfriend/tree moss. And then, as an added bonus, because I was one of the first 150 idiots to care, you get free a 22.74 late fee charge! ....visa and mastercard accepted..CALL NOW! *sigh*....not the biggest deal, and not the first time she's pulled this crap (which is why I cancelled the card in the first place and got a whole new one with a new account #). I just think its really rude personally. Anyways, its such a nice day, gonna drink some coffee, play some Xenosaga, and then go clean my bike and get it all shiney and nice (bad rust...bad!). Later,

So I got a Valentines day gift today from my girlfriend.... Would you like to see a picture of it? Of course you want you ;)

Pretty cool, eh? I've never owned a grill before...i've built a few, but this is by far the nicest one of the grills i've seen before...much less owned.
Now I can be all manly and sit out there, cooking flesh over an open flame and drinkin' my beer ;) Of course this goes with the gift I bought her:

Also, got two more DBZ box sets in the mail yesterday from rightstuf.com. Funny thing is that I got the email letting me now this morning *sigh*. I know
amazon.com may cost a little more, but at least they can send email's on time.

Please let me out sometime today

Why is it when you try to get out of an elevator, there is somebody always trying to get in at the same time. I just don't understand why when I get off the elevator, people try to get on board right as the doors open. As if somebody shot off a starter's pistol for the race to begin. I mean do they think that the elevators will be empty because no other person could possible ever use them? I mean if you had to wait for it, perhaps that is because somebody else was using it? I mean i'm not sure here, its only a theory........baka!

Welcome to dennisjudd.com ver 2.0

Hey, looks like i'm running a little behind on the new site rebuild eh? :) I was only off by a day or so, and I have a really good reason for it.

Can you blame me for taking so long? I mean who can stand in the face of such blatent cuteness and not succume?
Anyways, everything should be pretty much complete, the biggest difference is that instead of having links on my main page there will be blog entries. Inside the entries will be my comments for the day along with web links and pictures (as I did above with the cats). For example:

And now you the loyal reader now has a chance to respond to each individual comment (which you could pretty much do before, but this feels "slicker" to me), another big plus is the ability to search my entries, which can help you track down a link I might have mentioned, but you can't remember it exactly.....but you recal I was talking about turnips in it. So now if you search for turnips, you'll find that hardocp link...... Oh yeah, one last thing. Links to the old stuff are all on the main page under the links section on your right under the calander.

Look mom, I'm popular

A long time ago, well I guess about a year, I did a stealth CD mod on a 50x CD rom... Well as I was going thru my site, cleaning up and making sure everything worked now that I've changed so much stuff around, I decided to glace at my server logs. As I was doing that I noticed an odd jump around Feb 19th, for no apparent reason. I haven't published anything lately, and had fallen behind on updating mysite .....in fact I think that was around when I took it down for a little while to create this whole setup.
So I check the top URL refererals, and techtv.com comes up....techtv.com? wtf? I follow the link and sure enough, Yoshi of Tech TV fame and make of the Yoshi Boxx did an article on stealth CD drives, and put a link to mine on his how to. That's kinda cool, eh? And now for the LINKS!!
