Mendocino: Blue Heron Pale Ale

Name: Mendocino: Blue Heron Pale Ale
Brewed In/Type: Mendocino, CA / Pale Ale
Bought at/Price Woodman's / $6.49 6 pack
Dennis: This beer has a pale light aroma to it from the get go. The taste is exactly what they claim it to be. Crisp, quick and clean. Not just your typical cascade hop'd pale ale, this is something a little bit more. While it's refreshing to see a brew that doesn't hide behind dry hopping, I have to wonder if they could give it a little more depth. Of course at 6.1% it's respectable, I just think it is designed more to compliment food as opposed to stand alone.
Jen: This seems to me to be a very clean, but bitter brew. I don't find it to be all that exciting though. The bitterness seems to be just bitter, and not necessarily hoppy bitter. As Dennis said, there is no depth to this. Just a plain Pale Ale with nothing to boast about.
