Samuel Adams: Cranberry Lambic

Name: Samuel Adams: Cranberry Lambic
Brewed In/Type: Boston, MA/Wheat beer
Bought at/Price Costco / $18.65 24 variety pack
Dennis: Lambic beers are generally defined by two simple things, one they use wild strains of yeast (which makes them seasonal) and two they are sour. Now, I had to actually look that up, and it might have to do with why this beer is not gimmicky. I respect Sam Adam's as a micro beer drinkers macro brewery, but realize that this is probably not a true lambic beer in terms of brewing/fermentation. Regardless, this is a slightly sweet/tart beer that is not overbearing, probably due to the maple syrup. The cranberry taste is a little heavy but this is certainly worth trying at least once. Odd's are you'll like it.
Jen: This is definitely my all time favorite seasonal brew. I practically count down the days until it will be that time of year to drink it again. That being said, this is a light bodied. sweet beer. It is made with cranberry juice, so the flavor is all natural. I really love this beer, however, to some it may be too sweet and not a true wheat beer, but I will ALWAYS buy this come the winter season. p.s. We got 6 inches of snow yesterday for Thanksgiving!
