Leinenkugels: Big Butt

Name: Leinenkugels: Big Butt
Brewed In/Type: Wisconsin/Dopplebock
Bought at/Price Dominicks / $9.99 12 pack
Dennis: Welcome to Leinenkugel's best beer. Made seasonally between Nov and March this is without a doubt the best and brightest of their family. Dopplebock's are usually deep rich brown beers made for sipping according to some sources. While this beer does have dark chocolate and caramel flavors, the strongest taste I got was of toasted/burnt malt. I really didn't pickup on any hops at all. As I said, this is not a heavy beer like a stout and truely is the best Leinenkugel has to offer (plus the price is right).
Jen: This seems very sweet to me with a slightly nutty after taste. Almost kind of plain. It has a light body for a bock. It is not that bad for a Leine's considering their beer almost never has anything special to offer. This one is the same as others. Nothing too special, just a light bodied, sweet tasting beer.
