As some might know I have an interest in bias lighting due to the amount of time I spend on a computer.

Well this weekend at Costco I saw Sylvania LED Mosaic light strips for only $29 so I grabbed a pack to play with as a treat. Sadly they are not really bright enough for bias lighting in the pure sense (nor physical really) but before I returned them I tried putting them under my desk just to see and was pleased enough to keep one of the light strings (8′ long total in 2′ sections). I actually hop under my desk quite a bit for hooking stuff up, troubleshooting, etc so it’s nice to have light down there. Plus I’m joking with my co-workers to turn it to red during any outage we work.

And of course my girls favorite color:

Sen. Rob Portman R-OH changes his stance on gay marriage.

On one hand I want to commend him for reversing his stance on this issue.

However on the other hand he’s a hypocrite for spending the previous 20 years telling everybody what their own kids could and couldn’t do. The voted for DOMA and voted for a constitutional amendment to outright ban same sex marriage. He also voted to block same-sex couples from even adopting children. So when his own kid comes out he suddenly flips on this issues. Human empathy should be a basic skill and if you take 20 years to discover it while pretending to be a civil servant that makes you a ball gargling shit wizard.
