Of video games and men
Well I managed to finish Call of Duty 2 saturday....lasted me exactly one week. Went and sold it back to Gamestop and picked up a copy of Halo 2....thankfully since I have the hard drive I can play xbox games.
Now, I played Halo on the PC...specifically on the TV that we owned at the time. And I have to say that I was blown away literally at the game play, graphics, quick loading....everything, the whole package. I've honestly probably played it lke 3 times just for fun.
Now I played it on the PC, with all settings maxed out (1280x1024). So now I'm playing is on the xbox 360 with a resolution of 480p (720x480). It really doesn't look any different to me, in fact if anything it looks a little less stellar than halo did on the pc. Which leads me to the question.....why the hell is did Microsoft refuse to release it for XP, and decided to wait for Vista instead?
I've now played the game a bit, there was no reason to wait this long. It's obvious they are only doing it to pimp Vista and for no real reason. So....I can either play it on the Xbox 360, or I can go out and spend probably close to $300 bucks to upgrade my video card and ram to run vista adequately?
Let me sum all that up with a picture:

That being said, I was able to get a lot of gaming time in this weekend. Neither Jen nor I felt top shelf this weekend, at least she has the excuse of her 3rd trimester, where as mine is just my body being weird I'm sure. I'll tell you what though, I'm happy as hell to have these damn stitches out of me. I finally saw the bill they submitted to my insurance and daymn.....even after everything I own about $200 bucks per mole they removed. That almost hurts more than having them taken out.
