So...today is mother's day...and of course having a dead mother and all makes the day a little sucky. But rather than just sit around moping, I got off my ass and got some yard work done. May not seem like much but it's better than just giving up. I did do one thing in honor of the day. I baked a Harvey Wallbanger cake yesterday (cue the "and I did it all by myself" 5 year old voice). I have no idea what I'm going to do with a whole cake, but dammit I made it :)
