It's been about 3-4 years since I originally created the 5861 section of this site for supporting Ameritech DSL customers. Of course I didn't do it all alone, and had help from a lot of people, including the great help desk Convergys had in PA. As time goes on, and I move away from end user suppport that section of my site seems to kind of fade away into the shadows, so I am putting this post here for future visitors searching for information on the Efficient Networks Speed Stream 5861 ADSL modem.
