Ikea family room entertainment center

Man, let me tell you how long it took to get this post ready. Ton's of pictures... For a while, like everything else, we've been looking for a new entertainment center for the living room to not only hold all the equipment, but also all our DVD's (my anime collection is pretty large). My old shelves couldn't hold any equipment, and had been discontinued so we couldn't buy more if we wanted to even. We finally settled on something from IKEA's Bonde collection. We originally wanted silver, but now in retrospect we agree that it would have been to much gray for the room. So basically the setup is pretty simple. Kinda like this twice, with a bridging shelf. Anyways, here's a pic of everything still in the box:

After unpacking we started building the two shelf unit's, and stood them up so we could mount the bridging shelves:
While I was waiting for Jen I started on the drawer's. If you see one of the pics I always take the hardware out of the bag and sort it. It may seem silly, but I tell you it saves time in the end and makes things easier:
This thing is so tall, it really takes two people and a ladder to get it on right. After that we called it a night and I hooked up the tv real quick so we could recored Medium and call it a night:
The next day we put on the glass doors, with absolutly no help from any of the cats: After that all we had to do was load up the DVD's....so here are the finished pics:
Now I get to buy more anime....right....honey....honey why aren't you listening to me......

Thanks guys, I can't tell you how hard it was to finally make up our minds about this, cause ya pretty much can't return it.

I swear IKEA warps time and space to get their stuff to all fit in boxes the size of shoeboxes.

Yeah, I know we've been kinda quiet, been very busy. Spent almost all day saturday out doing stuff (volunteering, fixing Jen's co-workers computer, visiting my nephew). been crazy...hoping later this week will be quieter.
