Fleet gift cards are ripoff's
Gift cards are the favorite way currently to get something for somebody you don't know that well. Some see them as an excuse not to shop, while other's think they are an idea that is ahead of it's time. Eitherway you look at it, commercials for gift card visa's are all over the TV and are a great gift when you don't know what else to get.
Now that I've stated how wonderful I think they are, lets get to the real point. How dirty no good thieving credit card companies conspire and plot to suck every penny they can out of you.
I got a $50 dollar visa last year (www.fleetgiftcards.com) and only used about $37 of it. It has been sitting in my wallet since then because I haven't used it. I kept it kinda like the emergency dollar I keep in my glove compartment...just in case.
So I figured I better use it up, so I log onto the website, and guess what..
THERE WAS A $2.50 MONTHLY MAINTENANCE FEE!!!
That means those bastards slowly sucked the life out of that card over the past 11 months like an old toothless vampire. They can kiss my rosey red white ass if they think next time I get one of those I'm not gonna run right out and spend it all. Sneaky thieving sons of b****'s.
IF YOU GET A GIFT VISA CARD...USE IT ALL IMMEDIATLY!!!!!
In other news, busy day. We got the pilasters installed and started on the Fireplace Mantel Shelf...pictures and details to follow tomorrow when I have more time on the pilasters...I have to finish cutting the crown molding for the mantle shelf before that's ready to post about..... Oh, and Donna....I spent that 50 on beer today :) :) :) Thank you so much! I bought some really good stuff.

So, in other words, when it comes to gift cards: A penny saved is a penny lost.
