Bought a new stereo the other day.
Also picked up two speaker stands, real slick little things actually.
I bought my first stereo (the one we were still using) back in '94 as a present to myself when I graduated from high school. I later added on new speaker's (blew the old cheapo ones) but always kept the same basic system. *sniff, sniff* I feel kinda guilty replacing it, but with all the new stuff coming out....
However, I recommend you never go into ABT with your wallet. It's like Best Buy and Sharper Image had a bastard child. Also they have this sick crazy fish tank that's pretty impressive. I can't stress how much you have to see this in person.

I've been visiting your site off and on for a few months now. saw you got a new stereo system so i'd thought i'd comment. i've got a few sony products, digital camera, video camera, vaio computer, HD TV/Monitor, and two dvd players. I got the dvd players at the same time because i was able to get such a good deal on them. But, out of all the sony stuff i've owned i will not buy another sony dvd player. Both of mine seem extremely picky, they'll freeze for a split second on some movies and then if your disc is scratched at all (rental discs) you'll get to a spot and it'll freeze up then jump forward or back, that is if it unfreezes. lemme know if you have the same problem or maybe sony fixed it already. either way tho, it's still a nice system. ought to be a nice addtion to the house.
