I have dsl!
Did a lot yesterday. Called to update a lot of records, moved the telephone and the best part? The new house qualifies for DSL! So no only do I keep the discount, but I also keep the current email address's and equipment!
The furnace got fixed last night around 6pm. Turn's out the problem was pretty much what the NiCor guy thought it was. It was the gas valve in the furnace itself. I think that's the exact model, but not to sure. Either way you get the idea. Still had to pay a hundred bucks to get the damn thing fixed, but guess I can't complain to much. At least it's one less thing to fix later, and besides I'm sure I've saved that much doing my own labor over the years.
Speaking of labor, I was working at the house yesterday on some assorted stuff and started thinking about all the work I've done over the years. Toilet's replaced, wall and floor's tiles, appliences installed, sink's replaced, plumbing done, drywall installed, door's installed, oulet's put in, etc etc.
No wonder I'm so tired of doing all this. Still doesn't even feel like i'm doing it for myself yet. Guess I just can't get it thru my head that we own this house yet until we live in it. Well back to work, have to review a config for an erx1400 in Texas. Ah the glamorous life of an engineer. Oh yeah, I introduce you to the perfect sink!
