There is only one saving grace to the entire cluster fuck that is know as the Dallas highway system, the HOV lane.
The HOV lane is an express lane, or carpool lane, open to buses, 2+ carpools, and motorcycles, and it is the only reason you can get anywhere around here in the early morning. Assuming of course you have 2+ people in your car. Speaking of 2+ people, remember that movie called "Forget Paris" with Billy Crystal? Remember how the old guy would sit in the car reading off the signs of the business's as they drove past? I always believed that to be a falsehood, an urban myth. However, I can now confirm that it does indeed happen. People do sit in their car, as they drive, saying out loud the name of every large sign they drive by. I can only tell you what a little slice of heaven that is. Anyways, I'm going to some basketball game tonight. The spurs vs. whoever. Should be interesting as I've never been to a basketball game before, much less in a skybox (vendor's treating.....hope that means free beer). Maybe I'll see a touchdown or catch a foul ball while i'm there ;-)
